Inspired by the winding lanes and winter hedgerows of Somerset, Folk Foliage is a collection of four illustrated Christmas cards celebrating the familiar plants of the British countryside.
Holly, Mistletoe, Ivy and Hawthorn each have their own distinctive character, from the sculptural shapes of holly leaves to the trailing stems of ivy and clusters of winter berries.
I've reimagined these familiar forms using bold graphic shapes, rich teal and berry red, bringing a contemporary folk art feel to traditional Christmas greenery.
Designed in my Somerset studio, these illustrated Christmas cards are a little celebration of the natural beauty we find in our hedgerows, gardens and woodland edges.
